This week on Finest Worksongs

This week's show is jam packed again! And here is what we have lined up for you:

On Monday I was joined by Bray troubadour, Fionn Regan to talk about his new release, The Shadow of an Empire and his Irish tour. Fionn was joined by his full band and they performed 'House Detective' live for us. As I said on air, if you don't have this album, you should! I also brought you an interview with New Young Pony Club as they release their new album 'The Optimist' and play the Button Factory on March 13.
On Tuesday's show, the wonderful Vivienne Long was in to talk about her debut album, 'Caterpillar Sarabande'. Vivienne performed 'Happy Thoughts' live for us.

The amazing Local Natives also popped in to the studio. They are a lovely bunch of guys and I am really looking forward to their gig on Wednesday night after their performance of 'Wise Eyes' in studio - it was superb!
On Wednesday's show, I was joined by
Alberta Cross who were in ahead of their second show in Ireland, in the O2 if you don't mind! The band opened for the Dave Matthews Band on Tuesday night and opened for Lynyrd Skynyrd on Wednesday night. They played their new single, 'Old Man Chicago' live. James Vincent McMorrow was also in ahead of his show on Friday in the Sugar Club - there are only a few tickets left, so go and buy them now! His voice is stunning and he performed 'Cave' live in studio today and I for one can't wait to hear it again on Friday night!

Also, the third and final voice was finally identified on Seconds of Sound, so congratulations to Ciaran Dowling who walks away with €160!

I will be joined in studio by some great acts throughout the rest of the week, so make sure to tune in:
Scene in Focus takes us to New York and Hardeep Phull will be filling us in on all the news. John Caddell caught up with Wreckless Eric and Amy Rigby and I will have that interview for you too.

And I have an interview with Passion Pit ahead of their sold out show in the Olympia - you will also have a chance to win a VIP box at the Passion Pit gig!

I also have Delorentos tickets to give away every day!

Join me everyday from 10.30 til 2.30.

Today On...

I was blown away last night by Local Natives in the Academy - they were amazing! Honestly, next time they are in town you have to go and see them! And make sure you check out their dancing - Taylor and Ryan were dancing their socks off last I saw of them!
And yes I will be playing a song from the band today!

On today's show I will be bringing you all of the best tunes to get you through your Thursday, an interview with Wreckless Eric and we head to New York to talk to Hardeep Phull in Scene in Focus.

I will have tickets to see Delorentos in the Academy on March 26 to give away and of course the 90s lunchbox and I have another brilliant competition for you - a VIP box at the sold out Passion Pit gig in the Olympia on Saturday night, courtesy of our friends in Propaganda!

Let me know if there is something you would like to hear - text me on 51052 (standard message rates apply), email me to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or through the Phantom app on your iPhone.
