As part of this years festival, Phantom 105.2 will be hosting screenings of a unique Dublin documentary film at the Light House Cinema, Smithfield.
Bananas on the Breadboard is a 50 minute documentary celebrating life and traditions in the markets area Dublin. Through a series of interviews with local people and location and archive film, the documentary tells stories from the fruit and vegetable market, the former fish market and Smithfield. It also tells the story of street trading synonymous with this part of the city which many local families, particularly women, have been involved in for generations. Bananas on the Breadboard was commissioned by people living and working in Greek Street and the general markets area. More info.
